Inspiration PointIt's been too long since I last was in Yosemite and the only photographic memories I had of the place were pictures taken from old throwaway cameras. Now I had digital and I made sure that every picture I took was perfect and would last forever. And while I was at it I thought I'd post the pictures of this trip as a way to share the experience with everyone. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
The first photo is the entire Valley taken from Inspiration Point, a roadside rest area just after you go through the Wawona Tunnel if you're coming north on Highway 49. The picture beneath it is the Merced River taken from this point and zoomed in. I think I had a case of the camera shakes, so I hope it's not too blurry for you.
This is Bridalveil Falls, better known to the Yosemite Indians as Pohono, a place of evil spirits and forbidden ground to our ancestors. I've only seen this waterfall upclose only once or twice in my life. While the whole valley is beautiful I just never thought much of this place to explore it. Sorry, no Bridalveil pictures on this site...yet.
Now I'm just playing around. I wanted to get different shots, namely Black & White, and Sepia. Back to top |
