Vernal Falls

Vernal Falls is a 0.8 mile hike up a hill from Happy Isles. I was so happy to be back in Yosemite that I said to hell with it, I'm going to see Vernal Falls again. So, with grandparents in tow (can you imagine how much walking we did on this trip? Nearly 5 miles!) we started up. I remember the last time I attempted this trail I was 50 pounds heavier and I didn't work out. Now, being less in weight and working out on a near daily basis I flew up this trail. See, people, exercise helps! But enough of that, on with the show:

A closer view:

Turning west, away from the falls, looking down at the rushing water beneath us:

The former picture, now looking downstream from that:

WTF? A drinking fountain near the bridge? Enlighten me, people, how long was this there?

Same rushing rapids, just from a side angle:

Back to the falls again:
